EASE Enhanced Vehicle Interface - EVI-6000

The EASE Enhanced Vehicle Interface (EVI-6000) is very durable, with steel construction throughout, making it ideally suited for the shop environment.  Its small size makes it easy to use and store. 

When ordering the EVI-6000, you get to choose how you would like it to communicate with your PC - either USB or WiFi.  

  • If you choose the USB option, the EVI-6000 connects to your PC via a cable plugged into your PC's USB port.  
  • If you choose the WiFi option, the EVI-6000 connects to your PC wirelessly via a wireless 802.11 b/g connection.   (Your PC must have 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g WiFi wireless capability).

USB PC Connection Option

If you choose the USB option, the EVI-6000 connects to your PC via a cable plugged into your PC's USB port.   Your PC must have a free USB port.  

Below is a connection diagram of the USB PC connection setup. 

1) Connect an EASE vehicle interface cable to the vehicle’s DLC port and the EASE Vehicle Interface.

2) Connect the EASE Vehicle Interface to a desktop, laptop or tablet PC with a USB cable.

3) You are now setup to use the Scan Tool Software to view, graph and record live vehicle diagnostics data.

 

WiFi PC Connection Option

If you choose the WiFi option, the EVI-6000 connects to your PC wirelessly via a wireless 802.11 b/g connection.   Your PC must have 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g WiFi wireless capability.

There are many benefits to scanning wirelessly because you can be productive from any location throughout your shop since you do not need to physically connect a cable between the test vehicle and the PC.

 Below is a connection diagram of the WiFi PC connection setup. 

1) Connect an EASE vehicle interface cable to the vehicle’s DLC port and the EASE Vehicle Interface.

2) Connect the EASE Vehicle Interface to a desktop, laptop or tablet PC via a wireless connection. *

* Note:  Before first use, the EVI-6000 must be configured to work with your wireless network.

3) You are now setup to use the Scan Tool Software to view, graph and record live vehicle diagnostics data.
